From time to time I like to watch documentaries and this time I got to watch a documantary by BBC called “THE CREATIVE BRAIN HOW INSIGHT WORKS”. It all about some experiments to know which side of brain works to be creative and how it works. Also, they talked about how can we increase our creativity.

Posted: December 27, 2012 Filed under: Art & Design, Books | Tags: Austin Kleon, book, creativity, Love, pdf, steal like an artist, winter 1 CommentIts winter and as much I would like to enjoy this weather outside home all day long I decided to stay home and I end up with a
this book called Steal like an artist by Austin Kleon. I was so lucky to find it as PDF file thats readable on my ipad. Within an hour I finished it and I summarised it for myself as a reminder. I find there some useful points that I would like to consider in future whether while I am blogging or in my photography.
If you are kind of people who don’t find time to read and want to know briefly about creativity or how to start being creative thats yours.
Here is the link of the PDF
This is one quote I loved most:
“If you don’t know who you are or what you’re about or what you believe in, its really pretty impossible to be creative”.

The Three Movies at DIFF
Posted: December 17, 2012 Filed under: Movies and Series | Tags: 2012, award, Bekas, Blancanieves, cinema, DIFF, Dubai, festival, film, india, korea, line of sight, Love, movie, UAE Leave a commentYesterday was the last day of DIFF “Dubai International Film Festival”. For people who have no idea what is it. It’s a film festival that holds once a year in Dubai for a week and many celebrities attend it from different countries and many international films are shown.
This year I notice if I am not mistaken movies came from new countries like Korea and India, which surprised me, and in the same time I find it a smart move.
Personally I enjoy watching other than American movies because they get me to a different culture, mood and you cant always expect what will happen next as an American movies but the problem is they are not very encourage in our region so I need to seek for a good ones online which is kind of difficult.
Well, I was hoping to watch as many movies I could but I only managed to watch 3 movies.
The first movie was Bekas. I loved it and till now I can’t get over it. It talks about two orphans kids who wanted to travel to America by a donkey to meet up with superman, which is impossible and the film took place in Kurdistan in Iraq. It made me cry, laugh and scared all in the same time. Beside hours ago they announced that It won an Expo2020 people choice award and I am very happy for that.
The second was Blancanieves a Spanish film that inspired by Snow White. It is a silent black and white film that filmed in new era, which I find it very interesting to watch except Snow White here is a bullfighter, not a princess.
The third one was Line of Sight a Jordan movie and It talks about how bad decisions could end us up whether marriage or trusting people and I believe that the film will always stick in my head and It will make me think twice before I made any decisions.

The time flied when I was there and the weather was so amazing. I could say now that I had one of the best weekend ever that wont be forgetting
Well, I found the ceremony a bit boring but having my family and my friends made me feel excited, happy and relax. After the ceremony my cousin surprised me and took me to Shangri-la Hotel we had dinner and we stayed for the weekend as after graduation gift which was so unexpected as I had no extra clothe but what I was wearing but to be honest I love it there and I could say that I am so lucky to have my family around me .
My artwork at Art for All & Abu Dhabi Art
Posted: November 14, 2012 Filed under: Art & Design | Tags: Abu dhabi Art, art, Dubai Art, exhibition, newspaper Leave a commentI should write this post days ago but I was so busy around to find a free time. Anyway the news is the photography above was showcased at the Art for All in Abu Dhabi ” UAE” at Khalifa Park last month and It is organised by Sheikha Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation.
I was selected from 68 artists and my artwork was chosen from 134 submissions received and what I heard that they selected only 12 artists at first and then they minimised it to 9 artists to show their artwork in the exhibition. I felt proud once I received the news but not able to go all the way to Abu Dhabi to see it displayed didn’t bring the fully joy to my heart.
For people who dont know how to read arabic, on the door is written “No parking” so what I am saying in this picture that the man is standing there even though he is like breaking the rules and not even caring as a humor of course.
Well, days later I received a tweet mentioning me that the public voted for my photography and two others to be showcased in Abu Dhabi Art 2012 and this time I decided to attend so last week I was there and it was the first time I attended a real art exhibition. I like it and i am looking forward to attend more art exhibitions and may be the coming Dubai Art . Even though my artwork is displayed I still felt a bit jealousy of all the art so I promised myself that one day I will make a real art that is inspired by something or has a big concept.
I was also featured in Etihad Newspaper ” an Arabic newspaper” and this is a link to it.
Enjoy the pictures
The Level Shoe District
Posted: November 6, 2012 Filed under: Fashion | Tags: Dubai, dubai mall, LV, prada, samsung, shoes, The Level Shoe District Leave a commentThe biggest shoes store opened here recently in Dubai Mall called “The Level Shoe District“. As any women I love shoes and I never get bored of buying a new pair and entering this store makes me feel happy. But I promised myself for now to not buy anything until I wear all my shoes first so I got nothing and I can’t wait to feel the need to get me a new shoes to go back again there.
Anyway I was impressed to see the number of a different styles of men and women shoes of many brands. What I noticed if i am not mistaken is when I entered LV section is most of their shoes are not selling in their main boutique at the same mall which I find it very smart. I liked that Prada opened a section there as they have no branch at the mall and they do sell bags and some accessories. As well, I loved how the shoes organised and the interior of the place.
P.S this time the pictures were taken and edited by Samsung G 3s.

The Little Black Jacket
Posted: October 11, 2012 Filed under: Books, Fashion | Tags: 2012, book, Carine Roitfeld, chanel, coco, Hong Kong, karl, london, NYC, the little black jacket, Tokyo, Vogue Paris Leave a commentThis news might be a bit old but it interested me. The thing is Karl Lagerfeld has lunched a gallery exhibition of numerous of celebrities wearing a black Chanel jacket in different style. Not just women are wearing it; there are men and kids as well.
It has been exhibited in different cities like New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo and others and tomorrow it will be in London. I wish they considered doing it here in Dubai but the good news that we can check it online.
Karl and Carine Roitfeld published a book about it and they called it The Little Black Jacket, which I am looking forward to look at it or may be to get it. All the pictures are taken by Karl and styled by Carine Roitfeld. If you don’t know who is Carine. She is an ex- editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris .
I find the idea super amazing because it is showing us that Chanel jacket is not just made for one type of style or place beside I always have this idea where Chanel jacket is made for old people or it is very classy and old to be wore in normal days but this changed my mind and now I want it in my closet. The only thing I didn’t like is men and kids wearing the jacket because COCO created for women.
Anna Dello Russo for H&M
Posted: October 5, 2012 Filed under: Fashion, shopping | Tags: Anna Dello Russo, clutches, gold, H&M, limited edition, shoes, Vogue Leave a comment
Yesterday was the due date of the lunch of Anna Dello Russo limited-edition accessories for H&M. I wasn’t planning to go until the night before with my cousin who was the reason of me to go. To be honest I have no idea who is Anna though I know she has something to do in fashion industry but not a designer. For people like me, I just did some research and she turned out to be a fashion editor for Vogue Japan and fashion journalist which I was quit right.
I found what I saw of clutches and other stuff beautiful but her line is so not my style and I am not into limited edition collections because they just get old over time especially when everyone knows about it. What I didn’t expect is the place to be calm and not crowed at Dubai Mall branch . Anyway I am a shoes lover so it was the first thing I looked for when everyone was busy looking at other things and this is the only thing I got and i was happy.
The most thing I found it very appealing and I loved it are how the items are displayed, the design of the packages and shopping bags. Also I loved the combination of the colors she used and the used of gold when it is not the season colour .
With Love,
